We are Mountain 2 Beach Vacation Rentals, Gulf Shores. Back in May listed several of our properties on Vacation Home Rentals subsidiary of Flip Key. We have a promise in writing. A class action lawsuit should be brought against FlipKey. Looks like they are stealing millions from travelers. They don't vet property owners properly, too many scams. They are not responsive to complaints and if you leave negative feedback they will delete it. I recently rented an apartment through FlipKey in Iceland, paid for it in full 5 months before arrival. FlipKey through Trip Advisor is a SCAM. Very disappointed in my first booking with them. They do not disclose all of the fees until you give them your credit card information. If I would have know upfront all of the bogus fees they charged I never would have booked this property!!!! Their initial DETAILED QUOTE only includes the rental cost and the deposit. I have been on the phone 8 or 9 times with FlIPKEY customer service over a rental dispute, they are impossible to reach, and when you finally get someone, it is a call center, foreign and very hard to understand, they read scripts and apparently do not communicate with the resolution side of flipkey. Guests badly scratch a stove top with sharp object, damaging a new stove on a recently renovated kitchen. FlipKey ignored our claim and return deposit to guest. The apt was inspected before they checked in by cleaner and a relative who delivered the keys to them, after they checked out we noticed the badly scratched stove top. Not happy as a 4 year customer of Flipkey/Tripadvisor. They did not produce and also did not keep their agreement with me. They are difficult to deal with.

Metal railing on balcony one piece broken off of where it was soldered on and sleeper couch one end broken and springs found under couch. The damage deposit of $200 should not be returned to Alan Smith #BR 19559941. I have called and talked to them about the damage and they have denied damages. Don't book with FlipKey

We rented a property through FlipKey last weekend, and when we arrived we discovered most of the amenities promised weren't there, the property was filthy, the outside was trashed, and the owner was completely unresponsive. We call FlipKey and they assured us they would deal with the situation, and get back to us the next day. They didn't. Nor did they the next four times, over the next four days we called. WE BOOKED AN APARTMMENT IN SCOTTSDALE AZ FOR NOVEMBER 2016. WE ARRANGED THE DEPOSIT STRAIGHT AWAY, THEN WE HAD AN EMAIL FROM FLIPKEY SAYING THAT THE APARTMENT WAS DOUBLE AND WE HAD LOST THE BOOKING.
