FlipKey posts wrong rental rates
Here is part of an email that I just now sent to a prospective tenant:
" I do apologize. Flipkey.com required a 'base rate' to be entered in my listing. This is the current off season rate, and so the totals for 7 days appeared as 7 times this base rate. But Provincetown is a seasonal vacation destination, and rates in the summer are substantially higher. As a result I have had about 30 inquiries from the Flipkey listing, all believing that the rate would be lower for the summer. I complained to Flipkey about this, but they will not change their format, claiming that it allows people to search for rate maximums.
There are other problems with Flipkey which I will not bore you with. The end result, however, is that I will not be renewing with them again. "
As you can imagine, this was very embarrasing. The tenant expected a rate less than 1/2 of the actual summer season weekly rate.
In addition to the problems of rates, Flipkey does not allow the weekly check-out day to be the same as the weekly check-in day. So my weeks would look like they are 6 days instead of 7. I emailed Flipkey about these problems for several months, but they are unwilling to change anything.
By the way, I do not use any websites pay service, receive checks from tenants by mail in advance for the full rent, and never had any problems with payment in this way.

Flipkey is the worst. They hold your money for months before giving it to you and they get their commission right away. Will not use them again
Right. You can put in special pricing, but this is not what people first see, and is very awkward and very time consuming.
And you have to redo it for every coming season. Combined with the problem of check in and check out not allowed on the same day, it is an impossible system to use.
Once you enter in your base rate for Flipkey, you have the opportunity to put in special pricing for different time periods.
