I wish I would have looked up reviews of Flipkey before I used it for a booking.They booked 2 properties to me for the same day...and it was their fault, not mine. I cancelled the one property immediately, but they still charged me the booking fee of over $200!!! WILL NEVER USE FLIPKEY AGAIN!!! Plus, when you finally get someone on the phone, you can hardly understand them...what does that tell you? Where are they located? Not an American... Read more

Rented a property everything went through smoothly paid in $ on a Gbp credit card. 6 weeks after booking owner contacting me to say he had overbooked the property would I stay in one of his other apartment which is exactly the same layout. I was not happy but reluctantly agreed to move. I then received an email from flip key that they would cancel my first booking and then rebook the different apartment. Whenever they did all their fancy changes, they made it so that you cannot book for three, four, five months. Mine is ONLY a long term rental I am payiing them $350 a year to advertise and haven't had anyone at all, Finally a client tells me they won't allow the long term bookings. My ad clearly states it is a 3-5 month ONLY rental, so I just threw away a year of advertising and didn't rent my place for the season costing me thousands of lost... Read more

Tried to book a rental online, said the dates were not available and that it wasn't processed. Booked another rental in the mean time and then got an email confimation that the initial rental was booked. Now im stuck with 2 rentals or a hefty cancellation fee over flipkey's website error. Customer service wont help me out, id never book with them again.

I have had about a dozen inquiries and the communication protocols are so restrictive I could not get simply information quickly back to potential clients. I then tried to delete my account and could not. You can only bring it to inactive status. Now using VRBO which is awesome! Avoid making any bookings for accommodation via Tripadvisor. The TA website conducts the transaction through Flipkey, but when issues occur deny any relationship with Flipkey ( not our company). Flipkey demand a 25% 'booking fee' and do not provide any cancellation policy until this is paid ( i have proof of this). Was not aware of HIGH booking fee or even that there was a booking fee until i asked owner for breakdown of his costs. Not disclosed up front and it's to HIGH!!!!
