I booked a place in Greece for 2018. I had to cancel my trip.
I called Flipkey about my deposit. They keep their booking fee of $281 dollars. Then they told me that they would send my deposit to the person that i was renting me the vacation rental on the day after i was supposed to check in. Therefore, Flipkey keeps the entire deposit for the year and then sends the balance to the property owner and I get nothing.
What type of payment protection is that for the customer. I also spoke to the property owner and he acknowledged that this is how it works. Well i am going to make sure i put a nice review on his rental so nobody gets taken advantage of this scan.
So no refund. This seems illegal to me.
